To celebrate the 2020 Record Store Day Drops, we have teamed up with our partners at Record Store Day UK to offer vinyl lovers one very special prize. From 23rd September, we are launching a new competition across the Record Store Day social media channels which gives fans the opportunity to win a completely unique, one-off multi-award-winning Planar 2 turntable with a bespoke illustration based on your local record store. It will be the only turntable of its kind in the world made in order to celebrate the unique and independent culture of the UK’s independent record stores.
How to enter
To enter, fans will simply need to tag @RecordStoreDay / @RegaResearchUK (Instagram) or @RSDUK / @RegaResearch (Twitter) with a picture of their favourite record store (inside or out) and tell us why they think it’s the best record store in the world. Our creative team at will then take that picture and work their magic by producing a turntable featuring the one-off design.

There is one prize up for grabs and the winning person will be picked on 23rd October ahead of the final Drop event.
The Planar 2 prize turntable is worth £399 and includes:

Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 230 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion. Thousands more shops celebrate the day around the globe in what’s become one of the biggest annual events on the music calendar.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic Record Store Day 2020 in April was postponed and will now take place as part of 3 ‘RSD Drops’. The exclusive release list has been split into 3 with products either available on 29th August, 26th September or 24th October from participating shops.
